TMS and Nishio T&M strengthen partnership through technical training in Le Pouzin
Partnership built on local expertise
Since 2024, TMS has been working with Nishio T&M to support the deployment of Multi-Service Vehicles (MSVs) in Japan. As a local partner, Nishio T&M brings valuable market knowledge, strong customer relationships and a deep understanding of regional project requirements.
To further strengthen this collaboration, a team of engineers and technicians from Nishio T&M visited the TMS headquarters in Le Pouzin for a dedicated training week focused on vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting and service support.
The objective was clear: to provide the technical knowledge required to support customers efficiently throughout the entire lifecycle of TMS vehicles.
Comprehensive training across the MSV lifecycle
The training covered all major technical aspects of TMS vehicles, including mechanical assembly, hydraulics, electrical systems and software. Participants also gained insights into commissioning procedures, vehicle adjustments on site and systematic troubleshooting methods.
A particular focus was placed on fault diagnosis, the interpretation of error codes and the efficient management of spare parts and service processes. Beyond the technical systems themselves, the program also covered project-related topics such as logistics planning, shipment preparation and after-sales support.
By combining theoretical sessions with practical demonstrations, the participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how TMS vehicles are assembled, tested, delivered and maintained
.
Learning under real operating conditions
An important part of the training took place at the dedicated testing area in Le Pouzin, where every TMS vehicle is validated before shipment. The facility enables testing under realistic operating conditions and provides valuable insights into vehicle behaviour and performance.
Here, the Nishio T&M team could observe key procedures such as braking tests, steering verification and vehicle adjustments, gaining first-hand experience of the quality and safety standards applied to every TMS vehicle.
For TMS, reliable operation underground depends not only on robust equipment but also on the expertise of the people who maintain, operate and support it. The training week therefore represents another important step in strengthening the partnership between TMS and Nishio T&M and preparing both teams for future projects together.
