New delivery meets proven fleet
As part of its contribution to the Southerly Tunnel Project in Cleveland, TMS recently completed the factory acceptance testing of a new 50-ton, single-frame Multi-Service Vehicle (MSV). This MSV is not intended to operate independently, but rather to complement a fleet of refurbished TMS vehicles that the customer has prepared for reuse on this follow-up project.
This combination highlights two important points: the long service life of TMS Multi-Service Vehicles and the trust established through a long-standing partnership. When a customer decides to reintegrate proven vehicles while investing in a new MSV for the next phase, it reflects confidence in technology and partnership.
To ensure reliable performance under the specific conditions expected on site, the new MSV underwent comprehensive functional testing at the TMS facilities in Le Pouzin before shipment.
Supporting a key infrastructure project
The Southerly Tunnel and Consolidation Project is part of Project Clean Lake, a long-term infrastructure program led by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) to significantly reduce combined sewer overflows into Lake Erie and its tributaries. The project includes nearly 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers) of soft ground tunneling with an internal diameter of 23 feet (7 meters), reaching depths of up to 185 feet (56 meters) below the surface.
TMS is pleased to support this important project once again and thanks to the McNally team for their continued confidence and cooperation. This project is another step in providing reliable underground logistics solutions for long-term, sustainable infrastructure.
